Living Wellness is a thriving outpatient Psycho-Therapy practice based in the greater Richmond Virginia region. PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

We are currently looking for a fully licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LCSW or LMFT) to join our practice in Chester, VA as a W2 Employee.

The incoming clinician will:

  • Be able to make their own schedule (Monday-Friday; Weekends)

  • Competitive Pay

  • Have flexible hours

  • Receive monetary stipend for CEUs

  • Have the option for remote (telehealth) work and/or come into the office (upon re-open of the office)

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Virginia license to practice independently , in good standing (LPC, LCSW or LMFT)

  • Knowledge and obedience of HIPPA and federal and state laws

  • Positive and compassionate attitude, and ability to work well both independently and with a team

  • Previous experience and willingness to provide therapy to groups and families ins preferred.

  • Preference will be given to those already on insurance panels for the following programs: Anthem BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, Tricare.

Counselor Expectations/Responsibilities:

  • Able to build and maintain a caseload of at least 15 clients

  • Assess mental health conditions and disorders

  • Provide psychotherapy, utilizing treatment approaches that are evidenced based practices, frequently used and well regarded by professionals in the helping field

  • Suggest courses of treatment, make treatment plan adjustments, as necessary, and monitor client progress

  • Able to provide counseling to a wide variety of groups

  • Help people improve their lives, careers and family situations

  • Create safe social and cultural communities in which children, adolescents, adults and the elderly can feel they can work on complex, multilevel issues including identity and cultural issues

  • Manage and maintain paperwork: being responsible for all your own documentation requirements and having the ability and agreeing to complete treatment notes within 48 hours of each session

  • Work in collaboration with other Counselors within the practice for everyone’s benefit
